how inBetween works

Gather. Map. Connect. Preserve.

Memories don't always come back in order. And when your life has unfolded across different places, cultures, languages or families, those memories may belong to very different parts of your life. inBetween gives you a place to keep them and gradually bring them together. The app can help you see connections, but it never decides what they mean.

01 · gather

Capture memories, thoughts and moments in your own voice.

Something that happened yesterday. A person you haven't thought about for years. A place you can still picture clearly.

Start with what comes to you. You don't have to put it all in order before you begin. inBetween gives you a place to keep those memories and gradually bring them together.

02 · map

Give your memories a place in your life.

Add when something happened, where you were and who was there.

Over time, you can see your memories across your life: the different places, people and periods that shaped it, gradually filling in.

Return to your memories and look across them.: screen in the inBetween app

03 · connect

Return to your memories and look across them.

A person may appear at different times in your life. A place may return years later. One memory may lead you back to another.

inBetween can bring related people, places and moments together so you can look at them side by side. You make the connections. What they mean is yours to decide. inBetween shows what it can, but it does not interpret it for you.

Keep what matters to you.: screen in the inBetween app

04 · preserve

Keep what matters to you.

Your recordings and memories remain part of your own story: for yourself, for later, or for someone you choose to share them with.

You decide what you keep, delete or export. If something is permanently deleted with no recoverable copy left, it can't be brought back, so keep your own backup of anything you wouldn't want to lose.

See it for yourself.

inBetween is currently in development and will be available on iOS and Android soon.
